What safety standards infraNOMIC Heating Elements conform too?

Safety & Quality are very important to us that's why all infraNOMIC Heating Elements have been safety tested to the very highest standards by the German safety standards authority and have awarded the European TUEV and GS sign.

Yes, we have every confidence in our products, so much so, we are holding a conference in November in London with Government Advisers present and also taking part in a documentary in December on the NHS247 TV Channel regarding sustainable Hospitals of the future, this documentary is fronted by Sir Ian McAlister, Chairman of the Carbon Trust. We certainly would not be doing any like this if we had anything to hide.

How does the infraNOMIC Heating Element work?

Answer:

The heat is produced by electro conductive carbon fibres behind the glass covering.  Electricity is conducted by these fibres which, on account of their electrical resistance, lead to the production of heat and the generation of long wave heat rays.

Do infraNOMIC Heating Elements produce any electromagnetic pollution?

Answer:

The magnetic field created by infraNOMIC Heating Elements is lower than the field of strength of a normal light bulb.  The values are definitely under the limited value of 50 Micro-tesla.

We most definitely class our heating elements as a Primary heat source; the power out is perfectly adequate to heat room to a very warm and comfortable level.  However, if you wish to have an infraNOMIC heating element purely to boost a rooms temperature then they are equally efficient; we have a wide range of Portable Free Standing elements designed for such a purpose.

Does the surface of your heaters get hot?

Answer:

In a word ‘Yes’, they’re a heater!  The surface temperature is roughly the same as a conventional radiator, if touched you would move your hand away and with such short contact there is absolutely no risk of burning or blistering.
